thanks Guitta for your tutorial . I had to rotate the branches to avoid some strange hole (branches paths). 3h to render cause I used 5 soft for the sun. Now I have downloaded the leaves from Varian's website , but have to re-create the materials since they are for Vue3 or later. Will create some other trees for the october challenge. ;=)

Looks nice Yves, but the trunk is a little stiff.(raide). It should be thicker on the base. But I have just tried it now in Vue 2 and I could not get it better:-( A solution is to create 2 terrains and give the bump map mor deepth (3.000 or 4.000).

:-) Guitta

thanks for the advice, maybe I will have an other problem with changing the leaves (Varian's materials are for Vue3 or later) . But I'm sure to find a solution in order to use jpgs from Varian ;=) Yves P.S. for the trunk, 5 minutes in amorphium and the problem is gone :=) . I am not very familiar with the terrain editor

Yves, create your own leaves. You can draw it in any paint program. Have a look at my tutorial "create new plants". At bottom of it, you see how you have to paint it. It is not important they look real. Have also a look at "A spring tree". You can do this easy in Vue 2. Just give different shapes to your leaves. :-)Guitta. Thanks Guitta, there are so many tutorials on your website. I know this tutorial, but in fact I made as you mentioned, it does not work for me (more precisely, I can change the transparency, but not the color since the "load" button can not be accessed). I can't understand why it does not work (maybe it's due to the fact I only have some basic plants, not a monstera). That's not really a problem, I will change the material and try to mapped leaves picture on primitives (planes, spheres, or cubes,...) It should lead to the same effect with several planes as it seems to be in Vue .veg files. ;=) Yves P.S. : when I say it does not work it's not exact since I can choose procedural colors with mapped pictures, it should lead to the same effect. But I have to test all that things
