Subject: Poser 5 (SP1) bug: parameter dials and IK

Here's another issue to add to the list of bugs In Poser 5/ SR1 (but worked fine in P4). When you turn on IK for an IK-ed body part (left hand, right hand, left foot, right foot), the Trans parameter dials do not appear on the Pamemeter Dials pallete. If you click on another body part, then back on the original part, the Trans controls then appear. The reverse also happens- uncheck IK and the Trans controls are still on the Parameter Dials pallete. Here's how to reproduce the problem: 1) Load any figure. 1a) Make sure the Parameter Dials pallete is showing. 2) Click on the Left Hand. (Note: no xTrans, yTrans, or zTrans controls should show.) 3) Turn IK on: Figure > Use Inverse Kinematics > Left Hand (checked). (Note: the Trans controls still do not appear.) 4) Click on the left forearm (or any other body part) and then click on the left hand. (The Trans controls appear.) 5) Move the hand around. Do the reverse: 1) Click on the left hand. 2) Turn OK off: Figure > Use Inverse Kinematics > Left Hand (unchecked). (Note: the Trans controls do not disappear.) 3) AND, when I did this, I was able to select any other part. I had to close Poser and re-open it to continue working on the scene. On the plus side, the body morphs for Don and Judy seem to work properly... but where are the body transform dials? You can change the length of the nails but can't change whether the figure has a Thin or Fat or Young body shape??

I thought that was an oversight, I seem to recal Kupa saying that FBM's weren't included, but would be fixed by the patch. I could be wrong, do a search. later jb

FBM's are not included after all? That's right- thanks for reminding me. Oh, well, it's back to using Vicky then. Oh, wait, she doesn't work in the face room!
