Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 4:22 pm)
If you use an imported background image with depth cuing, the background image will blend with the foreground figures giving them a transparent look. There are two way I know of in Poser to prevent this. One is to render the scene without depth cuing, save the render, and import it as a background to use with depthcuing. The figures in the foreground are now on the background so they will blend and not become transparent. The other, and possibly better way, is to not use an imported background image but resize a square prop and put the backgound texture on it and use it as a backdrop (might want to turn cast shadow off for the square).
Or...look in Free Stuff, both here and at RuntimeDNA.Several VERY good background props, can be found, that can be shaped, resized, and morphed.Cyclo Drop,Infinity Cove, and Waver are the names to look for.Cyclo Drop even has several layers or planes that let you use more than one image at one time. I use all three, and after doing a major house cleaning on my Props library, wonder why something like this wasn't built into Poser in the first place.

Hi Does anyone know what the relationship is between Depth cueing in P4 and the background picture? using a pic of night sky with clouds as background but found that the depth cue provided a better effect (less sharp/Stark) for a night time picture but while changing backgrunds I found that the clouds and stars were actually moved to the foreground. anyone have any ideas how to prevent this?
