Subject: MAC to PC conversion

Could someone please tell me how to convert a MAC version .PZ3 &/or .CR2 to PC format. I see there is a PC to MAC converter but I haven't seen anything to do the opposite. Thanks.

The Mac Converter also converts the other way. Open it up go to the "expert menu, and you'll see an "export to PC" that opens another window. Drag and drop (copies never use the origional just in case) the file you want converted. Viola! James

... and it really works too. I've used MacConverter to export rsr thumbnails from a Mac cr2 file, and they display correctly on a PC. MacConverter is an incredible piece of work. Very impressive.

just downloaded that maconverter, but it is a .sit file (seems to be for the Mac), but i wanna run it on a PC. any suggestions?

Aladdin do a program called Expander that can be used on a P.C. to unpack .sit files. Get it from http://www.aladdinsys.com I believe it is either shareware / freeware for non commercial use. It is probably also availabel on //www.download.com etc. Si

great, got that .sit file unpacked, got a file Poser Maconverter.1.1.2, renaming that to .exe and trying to start it, it tells me: not a windows executable ????

Sorry folks, but my tool is a Mac program, which will only run on (any) PPC Mac, but not on Wintel. As a matter of fact, it is also impossible for me to write a PC version, because it must run with access to the Mac's file system, which is much more complex than the PC. This means that a Mac can keep a PC file without loss of data, but not the other way round - sorry. On the positive side, there is nothing special that PC Poser creators must do with their files - but feel free to recommend my tool to your Mac users to convert your stuff. Mac creators should be nice and use the "Export" feature prior to zipping their stuff - this way both Mac and PC users get the full package without loss.

Martin if you haven't been told latley. You are indeed up there in the GOD status. This program is such a blessing. I laugh at the FS pages when it says "PC only" I know with this utility I can use it too. Thanks so very much for this outstanding utility! James (MAC G4 400mhz)
