Hi all, Once upon a time I found a house here in the marketplace. It was a sort of New Orleans French Quarter style house, I think it was single story I've searched the marketplace for 2 days now and can't find it. Does anyone remember it (or has anyone ever seen it?) Thanks for any help Jan

http://www.isauras.com/downloads/3dshops.html features the work of Isaura Simon who doesn't seem to have her store here anymore. Maybe she is at 3dc but you can find her houses at that link. If that's what you're looking for anyway :)

Go check this proggy out. Awesome for the price. I got IMSI turbocad 7 and FP 6 in a package at compusa last summer for about $50. You can build literally any kind of house and decorate any room. Tons of model choices, tons of custom building objects. Exports in grouped three axes 3d formats. Bryce lets you select textures for any group (ie glass for windows, wood for doors, etc). You can build very easily and if you're online with the program, it has tons of tuts and dl's that are integrated into the interface.

It is available at "TurboSquid", just type in the name, "Isaura" in the search box and it will come up. Genny

Is this florplan program a stand alone? And what can you use the models in?

Its stand alone and you can export in dxf and vrml. Any program that can import those (or a converter if you need one like 3dexploration or crossroads, etc) will do fine. This is Bryce with some texturing. Obviously it has promise. Have to put a light object inside the box to make the furnishings show. Imports to Poser 5 (and the import process takes 5 times as long) but very hard to light and manipulate. Best to texture somewhere else and import after attaching textures. Maybe even ungroup and bring in just the objects you want.

IMSI Floorplan 3D is what I used to make the little cottage for Vue on my website. It's a great little app, but you do need to "tweak" the models in something that will import and allow you to modify .dxf files since it doesn't really import well into Poser "as is." Kate (who is working on a two-story townhouse version of the half duplex cottage that will be compatible in Poser as well as Vue)

Thanks again, Isaura Simons' was the one I was looking for. I looked at Floorplan 3D but I have Lightwave although up to now my modeling has been taking others apart and re-doing them the way I want. Not enough time!!!!
