Any updates on when the Mac people will be able to play??

None the PC version is waiting its third Patch and i doubt that there is even a compiled Beta for the MAC so be patient. I imagine CL is very busy these days. so MAC users take a seat and talk amongst yourselves there are bathrooms down the hall on the left :-/

Be patient. I too have a Mac. After reading about all of the problems in Poser 5 I am just as well pleased that I'm not involved. I know it's difficult to wait while all with a PC are having all the fun tearing their hair out with mystery problems. Be satisfied using P4 or whatver you use and let CL get everything in order first before they put the Mac version together. It will save a lot of headaches in the long run.

If you're really that anxious to participate in all the misery created by P5, just run it on Virtual PC with Win XP and start tearing your hair out! :D

When P5 Mac does show up it will run on exactly TWO operating systems, not 4 like the PC version does now that along will eliminate 90% of the problems listed in the fourm

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

A percentage of their difficulty may be their system but also user error, an example being the bozo in this thread with his mouse wheel. The patches dont seem to be fixing the same issues as were posted in the forum. Yes I recall some new feature re the mouse but luckily there were some smarter users who just emailed the bugs and didnt post where CL dont have time to look.

I recommend a portion of these users either get a MAC or obtain some semblance of computer knowledge.

XV: Boy, I must have really got under your skin for you to still be bashing me after all this time. You just can't get over a comment on your precious Mac. Aren't you getting tired of blatantly attacking me in the forumns at every opportunity for such a long time? (I know I am, I thought personal attacks and insults violated the TOS.)

Simply because you had no argument and no way to defend your position way back when. You're pathetic. You also are someone who can't (or doesn't bother to) read. If you had, you would see that...

A) My post was much more than about the Walk Designer, and;

B)Among the many things that they fixed in the HUGEMONGEOUS patch they released (which I complained about within that post), was to CORRECT the WALK DESIGNER. Oh yeah, they got with the 1990's and added mouse wheel support (barely).

PS> "Email me when someone replies" UNCHECKED. You're not worth another wasted second of my time.

timoteo1 ( ) posted Sat, 12 October 2002 at 8:17 PM

PSS> If after seeing the incredible size and magnitude of SR1, blaming it on an operating system is completely childish and incredibly unreasonable ... par for the course with you XV.

Here Timmy, c'mon boy, do another Mac bashing trick for a cookie! Yessirree, good boy! Now roll over!

jrizal ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 12:34 AM

Oh oh, what's this, another one of Bill Gate's btc*s trolling in a mac thread desperately trying to defend the gross inadequacies of his favorite platform? Timoteo1, I've read your really lame posts in other threads, and you really can't disguise the fact that you can't get laid, can you? Now why don't you go do something useful like actually create art or something instead of being a total nerd who spends too much time bashing Macs?

Barryw ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 12:35 AM

Man I wish people would grow up... I didn't mean for this to be a "my os is better than your os" thread. I was just wondering if any of the people in the know would throw a few hints our way. I really can't wait to get os9 off my computer. Poser is the only reason I haven't yet. Yea I know I could load Poser on to virtual pc, but it doesn't work there and vpc is slower than a snail in molassas.

timoteo1 ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 12:55 AM

Barry: I totally agree with you. I didn't start a platform war in this thread ... I didn't even mention a Mac/PC comaprison.

Jrizal Trolling?? I was quite clearly simply defending myself against the accussation that I was some kind of inept, BOZO I think he said, who didn't know how to use the program. I wasn't the one calling people names and TOTALLY FALSELY using someone as an example of "user error", simply as a childish way to troll and attack that person for disagreements in the past. But I expect no less now, as he and his Mac-Nazi ilk can't seem to resist the temptation.

Take a moment to actually READ the freaking posts before you comment.

timoteo1 ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 1:00 AM

DRIZAL: PS> Thanks for your concern with my sex life. You're right I can't get laid ... I'm married and have three kids ages 5 and under. There isn't time normally. (Ok, maybe a couple times a week if I'm lucky.) But hey, thanks for showing us all how immature you are! Great job.

timoteo1 ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 1:21 AM

And now a word from your sponsor, Captain Immaturity himself :"Here Timmy, c'mon boy, do another Mac bashing trick for a cookie! Yessirree, good boy! Now roll over!"

All hail the Great Troll, Doctor Richard "Dicky" Tamesis. Do you and XV meet at your office in Omaha, or do you just get off with each other over the phone, on how to assault me on R'Osity??

Your annoyingly INFANTILE remarks never cease to amaze me, Doc. Let's see, last time you made a remark about me you talked about penis size, called me a plethora of names, and told me how sorry you were for me and anyone who knew me.

Now keep in mind, we had never said (or typed) so much as a word to one-another before. He just lashed into me like a fifteen-year-old teenager with an axe to grind. Glad you don't work on my eyes, Dicky ... with that maturity level.

It's a shame a few hyper-defensive Mac-Nazi's like you few have to be the most vocal on the boards. Thank God for cool, level-headed Mac users like Wolf, who I'm sure has two-button wheel-mouse in his hand right now! ;-)

-Tim

PS> Since the enormous SR1 patch, I am happy to report that things look much better for P5 for the most part. It isn't perfect, and it probably never will be ... even after it's ported to the Mac.

ENOUGH! can the flames or take them into private! We're here to talk about POSER. Not to insult each other.

greendog ( ) posted Sun, 13 October 2002 at 6:30 AM

This Mac vs PC crap is like watching two retards in wheelchairs trying to beat the crap out of each other. Amusing for the first 5 seconds or so Youd thing you would have gotten your fill of it by now. I agree with jayhawk, I am glad there wasnt a Mac version I could impulse buy. CL was wise to do the PC version first since Mac Users react rather violently to stuff thats been pushed out the door too soon.

bear99 ( ) posted Mon, 14 October 2002 at 8:14 AM

Barry W I was in the same boat as you waiting for Poser 5 on Mac before dumping OS 9. I gave up, got a new Dual and use it in classic mode. It isn't exactly what you want but I can tell you Poser runs just as well if not better than when I was just using OS9. I know it doesn't completely help but don't hold out any longer.
