Really just posting these because it was suggested to me, this is a before and after picture, the left is an unfiltered underwater shot(need... more... filters) from a while ago, the right is the same image after going through only one step in photoshop-Color Balance- alot of people, I think, don't even notice the power of that tool, and I was just wondering if anyone else here knows of other unused 'super'powers you use .) anyway, back to working on this image.

Curves, Levels and Color Balance are my three main tools. I also like to use them as adjustment layers, so that I can see how they interact with one another and still have the ability to go back and tweek each one needed. BTW... Nice work :-)

Quite amazing really. At first, I thought you were talking about conventional glass filters. These usually do not help much with underwater; can't put back whats already taken away. I'm off to try an experiment...

Speaking of filters. Does anyone know the rebalance settings for color negative film. I can get some very old stuff digital if I can covert it. Some of the negatives are of my late son. Nice job on the underwater conversion. Bill

I use levels and curve layers but never colour balance, I think I will try a few experiments as well. Thanks for sharing this.

Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!
