Flipping may have solved all but one problem. I still don't quite know why those odd places on the lip of the goblet appear and where to texture them. Also--the base still does slip some but can be managed. I forgot to mention that I made a new model to match each mapping template. Any thoughts? Diane B

Diane try putting small numbers in the polygons on the mapping template that way you should be able to find out what is going wrong. I tried this with a cylinder plus cap map and mine has mapped perfectly. and judging from your map yours should as well. I cannot tell you why it isn't. Hope the numbering works for you. Chris-S

I hate to admit I'm not sure what you are talking about. Would you mind giving me a little more info? Also--in the beginning thread about this, I was told how to recenter a map--between these two, it should work. Thanks again, Diane

Diane If you take your map made with UV mapper and instead of putting colours on it you put small letters or numbers on it in the places where you suspect that it is out of place. You put the letters or numbers in the triangles on the map as these represent the polys on the model. This way you should be able to see exactly what is going on with your map. Hope this has made it a little more clear if not let me know and I will try and do you an example. Chris-S
