Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 11 2:56 am)
I'm not an expert on these matters but I don't think the dxf file from Poser contains sufficient information to provide proper colour mapping info to Bryce. I can't remember if Bryce 2 accepted other imports such as 3DS. If so, you might try converting your Poser obj with another program to 3ds (or whatever) for import to Bryce. Barring that, I'm afraid the only solution is to upgrade your Bryce.
I'm afraid if you want texture maps on your Poser figures in Bryce, upgrading is the only answer. DXF does not support texture coordinates (as far as Bryce is concerned), so that's all she wrote. Bryce3D will do the job you need, and has been given away free on magazine CDs here in the UK. You should be able to find this package free or very cheap somewhere (don't ask me please, I haven't got one). Make sure you patch it to 3.1.

Hello everybody.... Everytime I import a poser 4 figure into bryce 2 I got strange colours on the imported figure... Unfortunaly Bryce 2 is not able to import object files, I can only use the .dxf format... Any Ideas??? Thanks! Andreas
