Hello, I'm new to the whole 3d world and I was wondering how I could go about making 3d environments for poser. I have Bryce which is good for outdoor scenes but I was wondering if there was a program or even if Bryce could make indoor 3d scenes like rooms and whatnot. Thanx!

In Bryce you can construct your self rooms if you can model in Bryce, or gather your pennies and visit the market place here, or go to google.com and do a search for indoor models, or look in the freebies section here for indoor backdrops, really lots of places to search, if you can't construct your scenes in Bryce. But you would not be able to export the scene from Bryce, but could export a picture and use that in Poser as background. Sharen

crismajic, You could get a three dee modeling program such as Carrara to do models of buildings terrains etc. then you could import them in as objects and not just backgrounds. I like Bryce, but it has some limits . . . I've seen some pretty inovative stuff coming from that direction, however . - TJ

Why bother with another program for interior shots? Just use the primitives available in Poser. Texture the "one sided square" or "cube", adjust the size upward, and use them for walls. This would cut down on render times and give the same effect a high-end modeler could produce. If you really want to practice making models, you may want to try "Anim8or", a free 3D app found at http:www.anim8or.com

If you belong to PoserWorld's subscription site, Steve has made some really great looking environments for Poser. If you look around, there are some great ones here and there. Abraham has a couple of great sets, but I've forgotten where his stuff is. Maybe Abraham is reading this or someone remembers his URL. He has an Abbey that can also serve as the interior of a castle. Beautiful work. Also, check the free stuff here. I think there are several nice environments. Melanie
