Subject: OBP Conversion?

Hello, Does anyone know of a program which will convert the Bryce OBP files into dxf or obj or anything else? It would be incredibly usefull. Thanks, Amuzani

I don't think any exists. It would be the most useful program ever if there is one! I will try to find one somewhere. If I find one, I will be sure to tell you. -Adam

Yes, that would be most nice. However, I don't think one exists. I would also like a utility that allows for conversions of Bryce materials (and Ray Dream shaders) to Carrara shader format. Again - doesn't exist. However, Direct Algorithms' site is taking suggestions for extensions, so go there to their "Ideas" section and submit your request. Maybe if enough of us make the request, they'll consider it. Headgamer

You can export an object that is in .OBP format providing that it wasn't made from Bryce primitives. Bring the object into your scene and go here to follow the instructions on exporting. Exporting Neal

When ever will anyone manage to crack / decode .OBP / .BR3 / .BR4 file language? It will have to be someone skilled at decompiling code, as I strongly suspect that .OBP / etc code is encrypted or compressed in some strange way. E.g. if it contains a part named e.g. "qwertyuiop", I can never find that name as a text string in the .OBP / etc file.
