hi all, as i did my Laura ( best rankings ) i had big problems with poser.. 1.. to work with a close up was near impossible because always i cklicked at a finger or a detail the picture jumped somewhere. so i shaw never what i did. did not know how to freeze the camera that this biest never moved. i am happy that my monitor is so heavy..because of my neighbours garden...smile the second problem is i dont know how to handle the problems with the " knicked " mesh at the elbow..or neck, had ours to solve that more or less in max. searching some nice people to help me out of this problems. thanks anyway for your nice welcome to my first picture george

Oh yeah, I thought "Laura" was a great pic, good work. We all have problems with the mesh at the elbows and knees "bursting"; that's one of the reasons for the new Victoria model being sold by Zygote. It has a denser mesh at the places where it might rupture from bending. About the camera.. Are you saying that it jumps around the screen when you try to use it? I'm not sure I understand. -JH.

I think George is saying when he tries to get closeup to the hands(for example) to fine tune his models pose, the camara goes somewhere else and he has to adjust it back to where he was working. I have had the same problem, it is very frustrating. As for the elbows and knees I think most people smooth them in post render(something I have never had luck with, I am still learning post touch-up) Marge

its exactly how quesswho is saying. but i am verry happy to hear that i am not the only lonesome cowboy with that problem. so what i do is..i use my left hand to focus my work at the screen..or is something wrong with that ?? about victoria ..i tried alredy but more or less the same. ok i will try in max and charakter studio what i can do.. if somebody need some help let me know what i hate is solve the problems with touch ups in photoshop ( may be because i dont have it ..lol ) ok my friend thanks for your time sharing things with me and sorry about my english ge

I don't have photoshop( to expensive) go to www.jasc.com and get the free download for paint shop pro it is a great deal cheaper and it seems to do all the same things. But check out the free demo and see if it is something you want to get into. You could even try Painter or Painter 3D I think one came free with Poser. To be honest I don't do post work touch ups(probably because I don't know what I am doing yet)I just keep posing and adjusting until it looks right. Have you seen my Victoria/Millie in the afternoon? Her knees are still "boney" looking she is in the Vue gallery. The clothing that you did on Laura was absolutely spectacular. Marge your english is just fine :)

Hi guys! That jumping camera problem usualy happens when you have two or more characters/props on scene and are working with the posing/face/hand cameras. Let's say you adjusted the right hand camera for Fig 1. If you click at any part of Fig 2 by mistake, the camera jumps to focus on the Fig 2 right hand. I don't know any other way of avoiding that, besides selecting the proper camera for the figure I'm working on. I mostly work with the main camera, saving each position setting at the camera dots. That camera never jumps :) About mesh defects: Move to Eve or Vicky model, keep limits on or, as last resort before touch ups, try using magnets to fix the offending areas. Nandus
