Subject: Memory question

I am about to order a new computer. I can get either 512MB or 1G memory. Will the extra memory buy me a lot of performance in Poser?

I am not sure how you quantify "a lot", but any memory intensive application benefits from more physical memory as it reduces the necessity to use the swap file.

go for the 1Gig, Poser will thank you for it ;) add 3-4 highres figures + highres textures + clothes + scenery = need loads of memory.

When it comes to RAM, HD capacity and available cash, bigger is always better, Grasshopper. :)

Yup, especially with RAM. You can always get an external hard drive, but RAM is gold. Suggestion though, check out crucial.com, sometimes they are cheaper, and their stuff is very reliable.
