Subject: Afro Hair?

I try to paint Afro Hair on a Male Head. But it's very difficult. Is there a Tutorial about something like this? Or can someone help me anyway with some Tips? Thanks!

Hi designerin, the best would be to get some photos that show the hair in various angles. Starting with the base (darkest) colour, build up a shape on a seperate layer. You can make some "hair" brushes that with simulate the individual kinks for the highlighted areas.

How big of an afro are you looking to do?

let's see if anyone knows where there may be some brushes available, or maybe someone's made one already...

Hi, thanks for Your Reply. I have found a solution, maybe not the best way, but it's a beginning :) I painted with a curly black Brush the Hairshape. Then I used Eye Candys Fur Filter and play a little bit with it. The result ist shown in my Gallery. The Title of this Picture is: Get closer.
