...and again, me. Those houses are fascinating there. But well, they don't have to stand -35 degrees in wintertimes. AND I know, some of you don't have to stand this either, esp you Jovan. Damn you, damn you all!!!11 *grin* .n

And finally, last scan I have now. Strange lava sand cliffs. Local people had burrowed their homes into these walls. And actually lived there nowdays too. "Mom, I wanna my own room! Where's the shovel?" .n

The third one is spectacular! I always like light beams through clouds.

my slight preference would be to underexpose all these by an eigth, but that could v easily be the scanner, and its just personal anyway. 3 and 6 are my favourites, i particularly like the shading on 6, and the translucency of the clouds on 3, as it gives them volume, when so many clouds look flat in photos.

underexpose all these by an eigth Sorry I'm confused here.....an eighth of what? Never heard of eighths being used in reference to exposure before. Unless is some sort of developing/zone system term?

uuuggghhh sorry. thats a quirk from my particular camera/light meter combination. i mean by a little bit :) an eighth means (to me) decrease the apature by half a stop (you cant actually do this on many newer lenses). i am well aware that thats not the correct way to say it - sorry. i have odd equipment and it was late :)

Michelle A. ( ) posted Sat, 26 October 2002 at 7:55 PM

LOL! I thought that might be what you meant but I'm only familiar with whole, 1/2, and 1/3 stop increments.... Cool....thanks for clarifying!
