I would have to say that the Poser gallery is probably the most popular one on this site. Not only does it get the most views, but also the most posts. I think a cool idea would be to split the gallery in two. One for portraits, character development, and the like. For the other one, I would love to see a gallery strictly for scenes. Personally, I love to see images that portray a place and characters acting within that place. What do you say? Dragontales

If any gallery should be split, it's the Poser gallery. But an even better split? That would be nude and non-nude. (IMHO)

Well, I'm sorry if I brought up an old point. I don't have the time to go wading thru pages of old threads. I had an idea and posted it. And if so many people have had this idea before, how come no one has implemented it!

Actually, I wasn't bored with that point at all, just the old chestnut of once you say something against the giant ocean of nude poser chicks, someone fires the "shot heard `round the world" and the big verbal fight ensues. i.e. "you got something against nekkid possetes?" That's not what the discussion is about. But, that's always what happens. ALWAYS. No, Dragontales, I think you have a good point. In my opinion, I think the Poser gallery should be split because not everyone does naked girls and if it was split it would give other non-nudity artists a chance to be seen more. Yes, I'm a male. Yes, like almost all guys I like naked girls. But, jeez I have more interest in this site than just naked polygons. I like to see a LOT more than just nudity. And, nothing against the Poser artists who are in the hot 20, it's because of how talented they are with their software that puts them in the hot 20. And, yes it also because their subjects are great looking Poser females and the fact guys like looking at nude women. I wish I was as good as they are with Poser. Other points that the gallery should be split are the facts that the Poser gallery has the highest volume of pics in total and in daily uploads. But, what to do with the nearly 59,000 Poser pics already uploaded? They could never be sorted out. AgentSmith

The Poser gallery wouldn't be so huge if people posted to the gallery that would most fit the work. Seems to me, that with all the Photoshop painting going on, that at least a third of the images could go to the mixed medium gallery.

I think the idea of splitting up the Poser galleries is a great Idea.... the one thing that I would like to see more than anything else is a separation from Poser 4 and Poser 5 renders...

I am so anxious to see what others will and are doing in P5... but it is really frustrating to have to go through a million renders just to see one or two P5 renders.
Anyway... that is my opinion.

The one major benefit of nekkid/not-nekkid separation would be for children come to this site. You could isolate all the warnings to just that one gallery or something. Also, it could keep the site from being censored by child watch software and allow the Renderosity audience to grow. It's a very good idea that I had to point out this added potential benefit. IMHO

I think it is too obvious but I'll say it anyway that it is not just nudes that may be inappropriate for children...some of the images on the galleries that show violence, and have bondage overtones would not be necessarily images that parents would want to have their children exposed to. Of course then we get into a rating system and no system like that works perfectly for everyone. Instead of nude, not nude; it might be better to have a mature theme gallery or a young people's gallery. Then you get into what is a child and what is an adult, because as far as viewing habits go, some children are watching more violence and sex on their video games and on music videos than we show in the galleries. Any perfect systems out there?
