I am having problems with Vickies eyebrows coming out black and chunky. I am trying to apply a transmap and a terxture but try as I may they look like they are stenciled on. Am I correct... with a white area on the transmap for where the texture is to show? Adjusting Min and Max to 100%? Falloff to 0%. Object color white, all else black? Please oh great ones, help. Visque: min: 0% fall off: 0% max: 100% object color: immaterial white=opaque black=transparent ---------------------------------------------------------- If you download the Nene 4.1.1SE character by Yamato from Poser factory (see side bar) you'll find a transparency map in there somewhere for her eye lashes. That should get you started in the right direction. -Jim Moore

BTW: I'm not sure this is a good way to go for you though! I haven't seen one yet for Vickie, but Traveler had a "smooth eyebrows" morph for the P4/P3 woman that, along with a re-drawn texture map for the eyebrows) solved the problem. This appears to be the way it's done on the Nene4.1.1SE charater also. I used it on my own character (my wife) and it worked great. I'm pretty sure someone will come up with the smooth eyebrow morph for Vickie pretty soon (if they haven't already)so keep checking the free stuff pages and Traveler's Morph World (he also has a section in Morph World for you to request specific morphs). -Jim Moore

The Millennium woman figure has two methods for eyebrows. The parts of the head mesh that are assigned as eyebrow materials (the method used with Posette) are already completely smooth on the forehead. These brows are already in the correct place on the main head texture map. So there is no need for a 'smooth eyebrows' morph, or a remapped head. Pretty handy. The second method uses a detached little mesh that can be hidden inside the head, or moved out in front. This is the one you need to apply the transparency map to. I suppose the chief benefit with this method is that it's very easy to change the eyebrows without altering the whole head map. Since there is a complete lack of any pubic detail on the mesh or on the texture map for Millie, maybe it was originally the intention to have a seperate little mesh for that area too... :-)

Thanks PJF! I just got Vickie and haven't had the chance to get into all this yet. Is there a "dial" to move the detached mesh in and out of the head? -Jim

Yes, I think it's called 'eyebrows in'.
