Subject: Looking for a model of a Princess Cut Diamond

Alleycat169 ( ) posted Mon, 28 October 2002 at 1:11 PM · edited Wed, 22 January 2025 at 7:12 PM

Hi, I'm designing an engagement ring for my girlfriend using Bryce and I'm having a tough time getting the angles right making a square cut, or princess cut diamond with booleans. Does anyone maybe have a model like that to sell/trade/lend/ or give me? This is purely for non commercial, one time use. I found a round cut diamond model at 3dcafe, but need a square specifically. Maybe someone has an old experiment laying around, or knows of a good tutorial for making one. Let me know, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

here's a link you might be interested in. They've got a TON of gemstone models, every diamond shape you can imagine. Not sure on the formats - they have some Bryce models, dxf, etc. but its worth checking out and its F R E E ! :)

I don't know how technically accurate you need your diamond. The lapidary link above is quite techincal. However, I did this diamond in Metasequoia just by using the magnet tool on a sphere.
