Participating in several of the previous monthly challenges, I have found it very difficult to decide on my selections. From the real to the abstract, the range of styles differ so greatly. To acknowledge this variety, this month I have selected . . . . 3 - gregsin. . . . as my J. Vermeer for exceptional technique 2 - darkginger . . . . as my P. Picasso for imaginative lyrical imagery 1 - hyperborea . . . . as my H. Moore for creative abstract form
This was such a great and wide open topic, I feel like a tool for not entering. Oh well, real life time constraints. But the entries were wonderful. There is so much in here that is excellent from phosphorescent mushrooms to rust stained tin rooves. It was really hard to choose this time. But choose we must. 3 points to FWTempest. Technical stuff aside (the pad on the goal posts in unbelievable) this image just hits me. It reminds me of fall. It's intimate, and it struck me. 2 points to Darkginger. This is so playful, I coudln't resist it. The characters are lively and posed well. There's a lot of activity and life in a season which is typically about hibernation. I liked that juxtaposition of concept very well. (that's my art word for the day ;) 1 point to pidjy. Again, that metamorphosis is awesome. It's a pretty simple pic with a lot of soul. The watching scarecrow, the flock of birds, and the ambience is all very warm and somehow surreal. Great entries from everyone! I wish I had more points to offer, but alas, the flag me at 6.
3 - Brendan - it makes me think of 'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe...' Marvellously slimy, overall! 2 - Tuttle for sheer originality and imagination 1 - AgentSmith, for capturing the mistiness of Autumn - it's just like that outside here today I wanted to vote for more, but came down to these three after a lot of struggling with decisions. There were so many good entries this month, it was very hard to choose!
pidjy - 3 points rayraz - 2 points fwtempest - 1 point Always tough making these choices!

Ok:: It's quiet hard to vote for the pic I like, and not for the people I like LOL but it doesn^t mean that I dont like the people that have made the pic I vote for.... anyway 1 point : FWtempest, love the grass, the atmosphere, and the end of the football season! 2 points : Draculaz, I like the warm light of this autumn late afternoon, It's hard to show autumn with such a few things and Draculaz made it, it's inspiring me too a kind of lonelyness, A pic with feelings. 3 points : Agent Smith, the rain the leaves the distants trees it's perfect. But this tricycle.. it's like a "souvenir" a view on the past, the missing childhood. 40 points : just kidding
Once again the work is all great! I kicked out some entries because of a clash in composition. My own entry included had realistic elements but no central focus. Finally, I still had to resort to semantics in order to weed out enough entries to choose only three. The theme was the Many Colors of Autumn" If it had been Autumn I would have three different winners. If it was many colors I would have a different three. My pick for the best representatives of the total theme: 3-Anruth: I usually don't like watercolor or impressionism but I still liked your entry. 2-Cziii : Another impressionist, I think its catching. 1-Rayraz: I want the recipe for that sky! Great work all!
toying with my emotions.... :o) But, seriously... first the votes: 3pts.-pidjy... for some reason this image has been popping into my head at the strangest times since day one. 2pts.-AgentSmith 1pt.-gregsin and to EVERYONE, I think I can find something that I like in each and every one of these entries. Some more than others, naturally, but it's becoming extremely difficult to narrow it down to just three. And to think that just a few months ago we were complaining because we couldn't narrow it down to one. I'm glad everyone enjoyed this month's challenge.
Once again, a reeeeally hard choice... 3pts- airflamesred, conveys the colors of autumn without the obvious context 2pts- Agent Smith, even though hastily prepared, it conveys to me the "feeling" of autumn, nature's winding down for winter's sleep... 1pt- cziii, presents the symbols we associate with autumn in an impressionist venue.. and to everyone I liked them all, but could only pick three, I think everyone out did themslves, kudos to all Zhann
