Subject: Fairy Purchase Suggestions (P4)

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 2:34 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 7:19 PM

I am thinking about purchasing a fairy. Could some of you with experience recommend some good choices? Interested in detail/texture and suitability for accessaries. (Doesn't necessarily have to be at the MP...if I can state that) I thought ThorneWorks had a store, but the site say it's under construction. Thanks in advance.

We got more than a few for free lurking on our site... take 'em for a test drive :)

...Thorne sells his dollies at DAZ and at Animotions, your pick :)

He had Anemone up for awhile, and is teasing us with hints of P4 fae to be re-posted on Thorneworks, but he's been kinda busy lately, so I dunno if it'll happen yet or not. /P

My free characters of the month are often fairies, including this month's. There. With that and these other fine posts, you should have plenty to select from to get exactly what you want. :o) If you're like most people here, you'll mix and match from several fairy characters.

Thanks all. I'll take a look when I get home. I see no one mentioned "Alexis" (URL). I wonder about her?

Blazerwiccan ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 6:06 PM

Depends on what you are looking for. Free P4, Mil Girls and other one follow the link Penguinisto gave and look under the faerie gifts. Alexis is one of the best for the Mil girls I have her and I love her very much. For Vicki Faeries I am a bit bias as I love the two myself and SWAM have in the MP Wine Fairy and Avalon Character comes with two faerie/elf face morphs There are many more I love that would take forever to list. Hope you find at least one you like.

Sorry, FaerieGurl (and Blazerwiccan). With all the Poser 5 stuff going on, I added the "P4" to signify "anything for Poser 4" whether it needed Mil PT or not. Guess it got confused. LOL I just didn't want anyone asking me if it was for P4 or P5.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 7:05 PM

Blazerwiccan, I'm not sure I like Vickie in "faerie mode". There just doesn't seem to be a believable faerie for Vickie, to me.

mabfairyqueen ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 7:45 PM

What do you define as believable fairy, Chuck? Just curious. Everybody has different tastes. :o)

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Fri, 01 November 2002 at 7:54 PM

Well, Thorne's look pretty good. Vickie looks too womanly, IMHO. I have a book and most of them look very slender or lithe. I guess that's for flight. I'd settle for some of the cute faces Thorne has made with as high a resolution texture as there was. Accessories and how well the fairy accepts them is kind of important. Does that help?

Went to Farieguildm got the homepage, but everything I clicked on said "The page cannot be displayed"

Alexis by angylien is a very good choice - you get clothing items, wings, jewelery, poses and free textures for the clothes too. I highly recommend it, you won't be dissapointed. Alexis is based on the PTMilGirl and a real cutie.

Oh cool :-), I missed some of your faeries in the past.

I wish I could get some of Thorne's older "Posette" faeries. As I remember, he took most all of them off his site quite a while back. MAB's "Tinkerbell" looks to be one of the best "Vickie" faeries I've seen. Besides, I've purchased a few items from MAB (the Grecian stuff) and it seems to be great quality.

Check out Handspan's mil girl figures in the MP (they've got three or four, I think); they're gorgeous. Stick the elf-ears morphs on them, download Thorne's free universal wings from DAZ--bingo, instant fairy.

Tks Mosca... Tks all... I have been busy this morning. My wifely allotment for November came in with a bonus and I've been going crazy. In the "faerie" department, I purchased the Mil Girls, Kaila, Alexis, and a bunch of faerie wings from the Platinum club. I aleady had faerie wings from a few months back in anticipation. Got Ragbash and several other things. Been quite the day for me! Glad I have broadband!

For the holidays, I have these fairies in the marketplace. They're on sale until December 1st. I send 3 additional texture sets after purchase to turn them into other seasonal fairies.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sat, 02 November 2002 at 9:29 AM

Hehe, your URL above takes me to my homepage...but I got to what you were talking about. I took a look at her. Didn't know extra textures came with her. I just purchased the Mil Girls, so all I need is what you have for some extra "faerie power"...hehe. For $7, though, I don't know how I can go wrong! Consider it a purchase. Message671414.jpg

Heh, cool. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
