I try different textures on props or characters. untill I find something I like. But all the textures stay in the texture list is there a way to clear unused textures in the texture list.

Unfortunatly, the only way to clear your list is to close Poser and restart it. Noel

Yes.

Just exit Poser and then start it up again.
(Did you "save" you file first? ;=] )

Poser will only load the textures that are used.
After restart, the unused textures will be gone from the "list."

Hey, d'ya suppose a python script could be written to clear the textures? Or is that too much? Any python-ers listening?

You mean, like trying glass then bricks and so on? Simple. In the Material room, when you want to clear the texture, you have to select all the nodes in the texture (shift-click on their title bars) and press delete. The object is clear. You can apply a new texture. Repeat for all the materials. 'twould be nice if it wasn't so pedestrian, though.
