Interesting; I would like to see a tutorial on it. This is something I've seen done in other hair packages (sasquatch & Shave&aHaircut). I've been very curious to see if it could be done in Poser 5. I notice that is seems shaggier (i.e. more loose hair) than is typical with a braid. The ones I've seen use a technique where they start with two long rectangles, cover them with long stands of hair, and then braid the rectangles. I'm guessing you've used a different technique. I'm wondering if I couldn't take the EasyPose pipe and do something similar to what I've described. Post a note when you get the tutorial written!

That looks like the way young women are wearing their hair in my town these days...those shaggy edges seem to be the trend. I think a tutorial on this would be very useful.
