Subject: Balrog

Ever since I saw 'Fellowship of the Ring' I have had an itch to render a balrog.

So, here's what I've done so far.

It was done with Ray Dream 5.5. Modeling the horns took forever. They are extrusions with 10 sections. Each section was tweaked individually to create the facial bones (which you can't really see; oh well) The body is mostly Bubble work and fire primitive. The rest is good ol' Ray Dream extrude and group. There is also a glow filter applied for the eyes and sword. Oh, yeah. The wings I found for free somewhere on the Web.
