With the success of the [Warlords Collections: Michael 2 Barbarian](http://store.daz3d.com/catalog/product.php?pidx=2037&paridx=0), we'd like to know what you'd like to see in our future products.

The Warlords Collection is intended to be a complete product line all built around a similar style, and all within a fantasy setting. All of the figure are designed around michael/Victoria/Stephanie geometry and will all be available in DAZ's online store.

Each figure will also have add-on products released, such as texture packs, additional props and clothing and more designed to extend the life of the figure. Currently, GhostofMacBeth and I are working on an add-on to the Barbarian which will give him some new armor and weapons.

In the meantime, John K (Platinum dragon Illustrations) and I are working on the next full figure for the collection, which is a set called "The Wizards."

We've got some of our own ideas for future projects in the line, but beyond the Wizards we haven't put together a timeline as of yet. As such, we're asking for your input to decide what we're going to work on after that, based upon popular demand.

Figure-wise, our current focus is on Michael, as we believe that in comparison to Victoria and Stephanie, he is still severely lacking in the fantasy character department. We don't have Poser 5, so we will not be developing anything for those figures at this time.

So anyway, the question is, what kind of fantasy characters would you like to see? Paladins, Assassins, Rogues, Rangers, Demons, and so on. What is that perfect character that you've been looking for but just haven't been able to find yet?

Thanks for your input.

Always seems like the senario in fantasy is:

hero wants girl, loses girl to evil villian, goes after evil villan, villian has bad nasty monstor/henchmen, hero kills them and then villan, then gets girl.

So, how about sidekick stuff for our hero the Barbarian. the wizard stuff seems to fit. A Villan costume, evil horde outfits. we have millenium dragon to vanquish, but how about some more monstors. Daz released a Elements monstor but it didn't really get followed up, how about Fire queens, or mud monstors. all could be based on Micheal of course.

Barbarian Micheal really needs his nemesis, otherwise they can't play together hahaha!

keep up the great work some good stuff coming out, can't wait for your page to go live to see what ya come up with.

my 2 cents

How about a look at "Warlords Through The Ages"? A Hun, Genghis Khan of the Mongols, Hannibal (of Carthage, not the A-Team or Silence of the Lambs), and others...

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

Well, Valandar, while it's a great request, it doesn't really fit into the product line. There is, however, a Hun character already available at DAZ. Have you checked that one out?

Congrat for the excellent job with Warlord. I'm looking for Conan and Red Sonja (Barry Windsor Smith style). Red Nails comic book or BWS posters by exemple.

Yep, we need more sidekicks. Think Conan the Barbarian (1982 w/ Schwarzenegger): the archer, the funny wizard and this warrior chick. Some 'normal' guys to emphasize the strenght of the main character. Bad guys: Thulsa Doom just rocks. Some real warlords would be good too: Genghis Khan, robber-knight, crusader, shogun, you get the picture.

If you want an opinion from a roleplayer... the new edition of Dungeons & Dragons emphasizes a four member party comprised of a warrior type (Ranger/Paladin/Fighter/Barbarian), a wizard/sorcerer, a cleric/druid and a rogue/bard. Keep in mind, that especially with the next Lord of the Rings movie coming out... different races would be nice too... maybe a dwarven fighter, and elven ranger, or a halfling (hobbit) rogue? It's pretty standard stuff. But I'm sure whatever you come up with will be cool! I haven't had time to play with the barbarian yet... but I just HAD to buy him!

I would love a rogue. And a good ranger too. I know I'm just hopelessly wishing, but I would really like to see some realistic brigadine armor - rogues can't wear the fantasy armor you see around, but anyway I ramble.

First of all, I want to say that I am looking forward to the Barbarian Add-On Pack and the Wizard. As for the wishlist, I wish you would make an elven archer/ranger and a dwarven fighter. :) Jay

Warlord I is a warm weather Warlord, how about a cold weather, Viking type Warlord? Fur cape or fur shoulder pieces, helmet with morphing horns, leather gloves and gauntlets, leather or furred vest, pants with fur trim. Something a little more sophisticated too. Almost a genii costume, but add a flaring coat with puffy leaves. And of course, like everyone else, I'd love a sidekick. Something comic. Mismatched everything. Helmet that looks like it was once an iron pot, patched pants and ripped tunic. Something that could be morphed either heavy or thin. Special request on the pants: a dress right and left option. Real men have a bulge to one side or another when wearing pants. Special request on the leather straps. Once for each side of the figure. That way you can use the right one, left one, or combine them for a cross hatch. btw, love the first one. Great body morph, and its nice to see all the clothing morphs already there so you don't have to run it through Taylor. Also really like the necklace and earings.

Hehe... think Hercules and his side kick... Iolaus (sp?). Or Xena and Gabrielle/Joxer. I think Joxer was a really interesting sidekick... especially with his mis-matched armor.

Forgot to add one thing. I love the morph for the Wedge cut hair. A good detailed texture and morph for the Millenium Beard would be great to add in the next package too.

I second the Conan the Barbarian Movie type of add ons and the Barry Smith type of chainmail and costumes. Design is what made that movie and those comics work. If you need some reference materials, I can provide some.

I'll give this some more thought and see what particular type of things I'd like to see. Costuming and set pieces like throne's, taverns, city streets, towers, altars, etc are the way to go. Unique pieces of armor for the P4 horse. I know these type of things are out there but if you can create a whole Warlords world that has a consistent design scheme to fit the characters that would be great, and something I'd really like to see!

DraX ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 4:55 PM

Well, if you have anything specific in mind, I'd love to see reference photos. Very good suggestions overall. Thanks.

DraX ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 5:13 PM

Oh, and pdxjims, we do have a Viking Lord under early production phases 9only concept sketches at the moment). I'm not sure when we'll be fitting him into our schedule, however.

I stated it in another post but i would love to see a great single mesh Centaur with body morphs complete with a bow arrow and a full quiver. Maybe some add ons for MBM it seems a terrible waste to design such a great character and leave him like most of the other Muscle characters with out any thing to wear
