Me too. I'm assuming they are checking their membership list for good email addresses? Or is that too generous of me?

Hmmm, I didn't get any newsletter! Maybe I've been banned form the newsletter! I missed the test! I hope this doesn't go on my permanent record! Regards- Lemurtek

Conspiracy alert!! They are sending out those "test" messages to all the people who are planning on being banned. If you got one, it means you will be banned in the next few days. And if you got two messages, you're lucky to be reading this since you have already have been banned. They must have gotten a memo from CL telling them to go through their membership list for potential leaks. Tell me- have you, or any of your family, ever been a member of, or a supporter of, the DAZ werbsite? Come clean! Admit it now before we find you out.

I'm innocent, I tell you, I'm innocent. Someone bought a Daz membership using my name but it wasn't me, really. Carousel? What carousel.

Daio, due to the large number of newsletters that have to go out it takes several hours to send them all through the mail loop in a fashion as to not overload the email server. I'm sure it will arrive shortly, and if not, let me know and I'll make sure you get one. Thanks.

Lemurtek ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 12:48 PM

Hey, no fair! I didn't get the real one! I suppose Renderosity thinks it fun teasing the poor Lemur! I a patient Lemur, it's just that I hate to wait! Regards- Lemurtek

tutone1234 ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 12:49 PM

Lemurtek - i'm sure that yours will be arriving shortly as well. If not, you can contact me to get a copy as well. :)

Daio ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 12:51 PM

Patience is supposed to be a virtue. Okay, I'll let you know if it hasn't shown up by this time tommorrow.

tutone1234 ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 12:52 PM

FYI - the newsletter has to go out to 10's of thousands of members. In the meantime, other email operations have to continue as well. So we space the newsletter out so that it will not interfere with the other emails that need to be sent. From the time that Clint sends the newsletter it may take 6-9 hours for everyone to receive it. So, If anyone has not received a copy by this evening you may contact ClintH or myself and we will be happy to get a copy to you. Thanks.

hmatienzo ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 2:11 PM

I didn't even get the test one... I am starting to think this was just to get more spam?

tutone1234 ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 2:21 PM

hmatienzo - i can assure you that is not the case. We were having problems with the newsletter email list becoming truncated, which would continually leave several thousand people always not getting the newsletter. Hopefully we have gotten the majority of this problem resolved. Thanks.

Lemurtek ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 2:31 PM

Well, I got the real one, so my impatience has been rewarded! (and this one didn't even need the secret decoder ring!) Regards- Lemurtek

pipp ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 3:26 PM

Oh yes, the freebie goodie; works every time. Blind the members with a free goodie so they will forget why they even have anything to say at all. Can't wait to get mine too, drool. No more worries, all is good again.

hmatienzo ( ) posted Wed, 06 November 2002 at 5:29 PM

Hmm, I don't have my newsletter yet. How long should I wait before I get worried?

Lemurtek ( ) posted Thu, 07 November 2002 at 2:27 AM

Well, I waited about 30 seconds before I got worried. But that's just me. :) I'd bug 'em, give them some honest work, instead of all that layin' about their doing. :) Regards- Lemurtek

I received my newsletter yesterday, but didn't open it until this morning :) Thank you Curio for the Dragon Helm, I can hardly wait to use it in my next rendering. Dee-Marie
