Working on some character poses for a render inspired by the movie Blackhawk Down. Let me know what you think as I just can't put my finger on what is not quite right with the pose.

In the "not quite right" Dept.

It may not be the pose ...

Only suggestion ... use the Top, Front, Left, Right Cameras to check and see if the "figure" is "off-balance," that is, check the COG (center of gravity).

When the COG is not correct, the best pose will look "not quite right".

P.S. Adding a "ground" (for shadows) and some type of background (other than plain color) will enhance this already very good pic.

Another thought ... make sure that the feet (toes) are "flat" on the GROUND (Floor).

... use the Front, Left, and Right Cameras to check ...

Maybe it is the feet, guess I need to put something that is a flat surface there for him to stand on. Setting the depth of the foot is tough when you are in what I refer to as the padded room...

The reason there is no ground or back drop is due to all my poser stuff being moved over to Vue after the posing is complete. The idea I have in my head is probably gonna take days to render if I can take it that far ;-)

The man's pose is wonderful. However, the rifle should be more perpendicular to the ground. Don't raise the tip of the barrel, just straighten out the lean of the entire body. I hope that makes sense!

Rifle a bit too big Head too tilted back to my liking (but i insist: to my liking) Steel helmet too straight, and FASTENED...no soldier in his right mind would fasten that darn chin thing... Mustache too long... My "less than 2" american cents (since they are canadian) purplehayes

The rifle is too big, or he's carrying it too high on the shoulder. It looks off balance for the weight and size.
