Prophetic ( ) posted Thu, 07 November 2002 at 1:22 PM · edited Thu, 21 November 2024 at 10:10 AM

Bought Poser 5 last week and just don't have time to learn it... Opened and installed it, but have other projects to do... can't use it.. Anyone want to buy it... full windows version.. for $250.- ?

Is this even doable with the copy protection scheme??

Replicant ( ) posted Thu, 07 November 2002 at 2:49 PM

Doubtful. It would have to be registered at some point during or just after installation if I'm not mistaken. (Correct me if I'm wrong someone.) In which case its useless to anybody else.

You should be able to transfer the registration number. Get in touch with customer secvices or sales at CL. Bill

Yes, the protection would make it very difficult for the buyer to use it if you registered it already.

Prophetic ( ) posted Thu, 07 November 2002 at 3:40 PM

I have contacted customer service and the registration number would be transfered to the buyer. If you have anymore questions let me know.

You bought the "full version" and are selling it for $100 less than what you paid for it because you "can't use it"? Why not try to return it and get all your money back? Why not sell it at a price closer to what you paid for? Something sounds fishy here.

Prophetic ( ) posted Fri, 08 November 2002 at 12:02 PM

Can't return open software to MicroCenter... I don't have time to "learn" new software when I'm heavy into another project that has nothing to do with 3D or character design. And if you want, I'll sell it to you for a $100.00 more. I think what's fishy here is that most people on this board either bought or hacked a version already. If you're in the market for a great deal, then reply, but you want to vent your disbelief, do it somewhere else.
