Fading Love Sonnet Text and AUDIO LINK to HeAr this PoEm!!!!! Where has our old love fled to these days, Now that we know each other so well? Love's gone as we learned all our many ways We brought to the table, cute little habits became hell. Your beauty needed an attention, enrapt and clinging, An eye to follow the sparkle or your eyes and hands, Your word needed an ear that found each syllable singing Like a spring sound babbling over stone and fleeing in the sand. Those first few breathless days found no other bird in sky, No other moon or stars, no world at all that wasn't you. How better could love start for us, as we give Her a try? Begun within a honeymoon trance, our loved proved to be true. Money and clothes and causes soon began to hang On us, the fun-ness of kick-off flirties Of our affair wore out, seems the birds no longer sang, The moon grew full but looked dull, the stars a little dirty. Maybe some day again we'll feel our love is new, The time until that day does come is truly painted blue.
