Over the last couple of weeks I have been juggling a number of poser projects. I started a rebuild of the default Poser skeleton with a conglomerate of free and highly detailed skeleton parts from around the internet by replacing the existing ones.

I have completed Poseralopithecus ( my pet name for this project) his/her is finely rebuilt assembled and remapped (24 separate maps). I thought I would put up a quick render to show the project in it's progress. I hope to have a new and highly detailed texture in a week or so and will post the final Poser skeleton transition.

If your interested where to pick up all the elements to build your own Poseralopithecus you can read the following thread here in at Renderosity (link provided).

Most impressive! Talk about a major undertaking. Looks great.

Tygercub it really has only taken about 12 hours to get Poseralopithecus to this point (about three afternoons). Re-scale, re-mapped, and replace each individual body part (body grouping) one at a time by starting with the head and work the way down. It was not very difficult. It will take me longer to create the textures for it.

Hi I have a question, well if macmullin wished would it be possible to use Rte encoder or something similar with alist of where all the pieces are to be found and release this awesome project for use. I am not asking for myself but I know how useful something like this would have been had I been studying for my nursing qualification now not 10 years ago. just a thorght I am impressed I was thinking only last week when I was 'playing' around with the p4 skeleton in a graveyard how bad it looked even as a prop. thanks again Dave

I have made a list of the files and the URLs where you can download them. They are located in a previous thread at Renderosity (link above in my first post). I would love to place the skeleton up in the stuff. But unfortunately I do not have the right to distribute the original files I downloaded nor the model I have pieced together with them. Moreover, I have in some cases changed the original model in places (groupings, welds, etc), so and even if you had the exact files I started with - I think chances are it would not work because the construction process would be different. The best advice I can give you at this time is to download the models I have listed and construct your own.

That is Awesome! Now we really need some killer textures for him/her. I've been looking for most of a year for really convincing ones, both modern and ancient. If I had the time to devote to learning Photoshop 6, I'd do several myself, using samples of photos from Nat. Geographic, etc..... Any of you Photoshop pros out there sitting around twiddling your talented little thumbs and just longing for Yet Another Project? ;)

Ok...I am NOT very good at beating around the bush so I will cold bang this question: I don't want to build a darn skeleton. I want one that is as fully articulate as the p4guy or Mike. DAZ skeleton with the articulate spine is too much and not close to being as articulate elsewhere as it should for the money so If this skeleton of yours is more articulate as the fairly(or is that barely!) useable skeleton in Poser (spine, fingers, feet, hips, jaw, etc.) where will I be able to get it...for free or for money! (grinnin Greedily!) :}}

Ok...I am NOT very good at beating around the bush so I will coldly bang out this answer: I have two versions; one skeleton - where every bone is bendable (articulate - spine and all), which I am still working on. The second (the one above in the image) is broken down to just the basic poser body groupings (less articulate)the same as the Default Poser skeleton. I guess you build your own with a little sweat from the free files I have listed below ...or purchase the next best thing from Daz for about $194.95 (USF)...its yourrr choice! :-) Many skeleton parts can be found here as well.
