For what it's worth, when I lost my dearest friend last year-- so, he was furry, so-- I asked my psychiatrist about the depth of grief I was feeling. I thought I was dying. He said, clinically there is no difference between a member of the family dying who is human and a beloved pet. No difference, the grieving goes as deep. It helped me feel less crazy. So would seeing your picture. Take care, it gets better, I saw him out of the corner of my eye for at least two months. Felt him jump up on the bed. Emily
