Subject: which freebie-product you think is the most rendered?

narcissus ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 6:12 PM · edited Thu, 01 August 2024 at 6:19 AM

My opinion is that kazaburo's hair and Gothic Prison from awful soul are deservedly some of the most rendered poser stuff.

Stormrage ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 6:20 PM

hnmmm my choices are either Nerd's chainmail bikini outfit or... PhilC's golden gown. kozaburo's hair is definately in the top 10

bloodsong ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 6:38 PM

heyas; my blasted background draperies. there's tons of those.

lordbyron ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 6:52 PM

PhilC's Classic wrap, of course

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 8:36 PM

Koz's hair wins hands down IMHO

JetM ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 8:37 PM

Awful Soul's gothic prison has to be it

Norbert ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 8:47 PM

Breast morphs.

xoconostle ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 8:57 PM

The Awful Soul props are so well done ... I have all the free ones and really like 'em, but lately I find myself avoiding using them precisely because they're ubiquitous. That might be slightly hypocritical reasoning, seeing as how I can't resist DAZ' MilDragon or FlatTop Hair, which aren't exactly rare sightings. :-)

EricofSD ( ) posted Mon, 11 November 2002 at 9:10 PM

Koz by a long shot, but then again, a sword and a temple seem to be runners up.

FishNose ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 1:03 AM

Oh, it's the hair for sure. Koz and Maya. :] Fish

DraX ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 1:10 AM

I've got one that tops all of that..... Traveler's free morphs from morphworld would definately top everything else.

kawecki ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 2:10 AM

I don't know if I can compete with Kozaburo, but my cross and brazier props are in a lot of pictures.

Stupidity also evolves!

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 3:14 AM

No No you're all totally wrong, SnowSultan's Light sets are the most rendered freebies about :)

Mosca ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 7:45 AM

Betcha it's between two or three freebie textures for Vicki.

Baron_Vlad_Harkonnen ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 8:04 AM

Has anyone even bothered searching the galleries to find out that Kozaburo simply kicks-ass? #1 Kozaburo - 2163 times and counting! #2 Traveler - 899 times, Awful Soul - 781 times SnowSultan -109 times Yay Koz :)!

Dizzie ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 8:38 AM

oh no, there's no way you can count in the galleries what's been used in a render...that's bull....I vote for the Kozaburo hair...

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 8:52 AM

yeah you can in a roundabout way, do a search for each name & that's it, at least that's how I think BVH did it :) great name Baron by the way which do you like better the original film or the mini series of Dune?

Valandar ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 9:42 AM

Or the books, and hated both screen adaptations (Weirding way = Martial Arts, not a sound module = bad movie; Parade of the Funny hat People = bad mini-series)...

Remember, kids! Napalm is Nature's Toothpaste!

Dizzie ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 9:47 AM

not everybody list the name of the author of everything they used in a render......

Baron_Vlad_Harkonnen ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 9:49 AM

Dizzzie, let me help - go to the galleries, looks close to top of the page, there's a underlined word "Search" Click it and search for "Kozaburo" (be sure to refine search to image notes only) Although no doubt sifoo Kozaburo might have commented on a few images but I guess 2100+ images using his hair is a good estimate - even I use Master Koz's hair on all my images :) c1rcle, I'd go for the one that the critics 'Lynch'-ed :) It's a classic but a pity really with the effects - especially when it was released after SW - ornithopters looking like flying bricks :P But I have a MAJOR complaint on both movie and mini-series -they have poorly portrayed me. I'm not a bad guy, really, I'm just misunderstood ;)!

Phantast ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 10:16 AM

No-one mentions Schlabber's poses but I suspect they are pretty heavily used, if sometimes in a slightly modified form.

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 10:19 AM

I read some of the books a long time ago & love the film, I'm still waiting to see the mini series (no access to sfi-fi channel) I agree it got slightly eclipsed by SW. Anyone know if there's a model of the sandworms available in poser compatible format?

c1rcle ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 10:21 AM

Damn how could we all forget the master of the pose file?

duanemoody ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 1:14 PM

[drily] Of all the work I've put up for download, it was still the "7 orgasm faces for Posette" that shot up to the top of Renderotica's freestuff charts to over 10,000 downloads (visit my site for screen caps if you think I'm bluffing). I'm told it (and its companions for Steff and V1) get used a lot in renders you won't see here but it just doesn't get credited. Since GeoCities doesn't log file downloads in statistics I can't tell you what the actual counts are. Believe me, I'd much rather brag about anything else.

gstorme ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 1:54 PM

Kozabura Rei hair!

hmatienzo ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 3:39 PM

I agree, Schlabber poses and any of Koz's hair! Maya Hair is getting there, too, these days.

L'ultima fòrza è nella morte.

Baron_Vlad_Harkonnen ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 5:48 PM

Hey I remember downloading your org faces too duanemoody - unfortunately I haven't used them at all - don't have the guts to post porn - yet :P

Phantast ( ) posted Wed, 13 November 2002 at 5:28 AM

It's not normal to credit poses used in a picture, much less faces, so I wouldn't be too surprised that duanemoody doesn't get mentioned in those images (perhaps just as well too).
