.....Im a lil green when it comes to Bryce (new). I wanna model props in Bryce and export them as .obj or another useful filetypes ........seems that Bryce will only let me export as .obp Is there any other way?......Please tell me that Corel didn't do me this way....

oh , But They Did

only exports are terrain, rock, lattice, and a previously imported model. Primitives, booleans, metaballs and trees don't export. We're all bummed about it. There was someone a year ago who wanted to tackle the conversion of .obp and we never heard from him since. Write your congressman.

There technically is a workaround for it... but it's very not preferrable. That is to save the object as a scene, and then those that download the bryce file can merge the scene... I believe that's how I did it... As for the no primative export... Tis a crock of dung and it stinketh.

yeah but you still need bryce, Right?

mboncher ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2002 at 3:22 PM

still need bryce to open it. It's only good for sharing the model with other bryce users. Sorry, had a blond moment there. :c)

You didn't have a blonde moment, it was worse, it was a Corel moment.
