Yeah its ME again...2 in a row WHOA!! (makin up for lost time!) Took this one yesterday and need some advice, cause I have sorta mixed feelings about it. This is staight outta the camera, well except for resizing. Okay... Would a circular polarizer have helped with the reflections??? I'm askin this cause my digicam...Olympus C700 has a BIG problem with this type of thing. Reflections and anything which is White in color gets extemely blown out or suffers from CA (Chromatic Abberation) or purple fringing!!! I've learned to work around this most of the time but I'm wondering if any of you have to deal with this stuff and if so.... how??? BTW...any feedback on fixing this pic? I know PS clone/stamp tool is up there on the list!!! What would you guys/gals do with this one!!! L8r!

I wouldn't know how to address your Qs regarding circular polarizers and digital shyte, but looking at this photo, I LIKE IT AS IT IS. Those blown out reflections look more like fairy lights to me. It has this SF&F feel to it. :-) But that's just me. Hehe... (*

Sorry, I don't mean to sound stupid (yeah, like THAT's ever happened), but what is it? I keep staring at the green portions and for the life of me, can't get it.

Water Chuck... It is the angle that makes it look like that. A polarizer would help reduce the speculars, but due to the intensity would not eliminate them. A polarizing filter is the one thing every photographer should have in their collection and learn to use.

might sound oversaid, but itws centered, and rarely does it agree with me... it ain't agreeing with me this time. Even though its a beautiful setting, putting the leaf in the center gives me a closed off feeling... dunno what I mean realy... nice colour and catch of the lights tho mah bro.

L8R, that's a flipping good photo - I've gotta admit, I'd be pleased with this if I'd spent a couple of hours working on it, never mind picking it straight off the camera. Coooooooool. (",)

If you remove the leaf it appears as the California foothills at night from a 737.(As I remember it) If you create a duplicate layer it is possible to clone out some and leave other reflections. I tried some masks and could make the water a bit more blue, leaving the leaf clear. This type of image always challenges me to create an "arty" solution. Could be "a cigar is just a cigar". The more you work on it the further you get from the real picture. Bill

wish I had taken it! it's beautiful just like it is, but it would be fun to play around with in the effects, like, I don't know- swirls, smears,...naw, I like it's crisp sharpness- just be fun to play with! Love the fascinating sparkles! Must be I like to play with sparkly things...

I like it the way it is. It makes me think of some of the scenes from 'Fantasia' I agree with Star, definitely fairies.
