What does a person say when a completly unexpected and wonderful surprise occurs? In a way, it's like picking up your film from the developer and seeing a "snap" you had made turned out much better than others you were sure were "great". I call those pleasant surprises. I've gotten my generous share of views and comments on the few posts I have made. And, I have wandered the halls of the photography gallery viewing and making my own comments. Doing so, I see SO MANY photographs I wish I had been the author of. And I see so many photographers I wish I was like. I, like most, I suspect, post photos hoping it will generate a lot of interest. I also post hoping to get tips and suggestions as well as giving others ideas to think about. In different words, I post expecting nothing. So, a surprise like this, well, just makes me feel good. To the others who upload thier work/art...if I can get POTW...then I'm sure, from what I have seen, many, many others should expect this sort of surprise in the future, too. Thanks for making my evening!

Pat, pat, pat... CE hasn't been posting here long, but every one of his pictures is worth taking a look at. And he gives honest, constructive, critiques!

hey-hey! Congrats Chuck & much well deserved!! I remember that thumb but hangs heads failed to take a closer look- did now! Glad it was noticed & got recognition! Excellent! (nice acceptance speech too :)

Thanks, cynlee. I've often been accused of being too humble. To the point of not seeing the things I do as worthy of many looks. The older I get, the less faith I have in what I do. Poser muchly included. But I try. And to that end, with the limited ability I have, I try gently to offer an opinion from the viewpoint of a viewer as well as from one with "some" knowledge of photography. And, I think I take all suggestions about my work to heart. After all, where else can one have the opportunity to have your work viewed and critiqued by so many talented photographers?
