THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce 4 and 5 compatability?

Some of the materials I have from Bryce 4 don't seem to translate to Bryce 5. Is there any way to fix this, or do I need to keep both of them in my system? I was wondering if there might be some kind of re-adjustment in one of the texture editors, for instance?

Bryce 5 is backwards compatible so you shouldn't have to do anything. B4 materials should work fine. So what exactly doesn't seem to 'translate'?

Haven't had this problem either. I've loaded a lot of B4 textures, objects, and even entire B4 scenes without any differences that I can detect. Can you show a pic with the way the textures look in B4 and B5 respectively?

I brought all my B4 stuff into the B5 libraries. No problems.

I have never used B4, but B3D to B5 is no problem for me too, but I haven't tried it too often.
