This is a close up of the head of the ATAT model I was working on so long ago and I thought I'd give it a spin in the GI rendere. The eye insides has a panel with a red glow on it. This is the result of the render. What the crap is going on! -Kix![dead.gif](http://market.renderosity.com/~carrara/emoticons/dead.gif) P.S. I included the full image in the link.

Try lowering your photon count, sometimes light will go thru thin walls and around corners in the default setting.

It's because glowing objects cast light with GI . Interresting feature, but you can't turn it off ... :( I'd suggest to make sure that the "head" is "solid" ... see i mean ? And if the glowing object overlaps the head object, light will go through it . I hope it helps, litst

Thanks. I'm having some more difficulty with another model but I'm sill learning this new renderer. It has lots of weird quirks. -Kixsupercool.gif

It's a cool effect, although I realize it's not what you want! Might be one of those save it for later "mistakes" to file away until the right project comes along! ;-) Just trying to see light (even on the Dark Side!)

I agree with chuckerii, it's a cool mishap. I can see how something like this could come in handy.

Actually, when I first saw your image I thought it was about ready to blow up! The head looks like the metal is getting really hot and it reminds me of the moment before it explodes. :-)
