Subject: What's with the giant banners?

Not only are they badly pixelated but the reformat the page.

I've seen the same banner multiple times, only in "normal" size. No idea why your browser decided to enlarge it, but the problem isn't with the banner. Best suggestion I can offer is to restart your broswer and flush the cache.

Been there/Done that -- it's only this banner, too. IE6 is set to NOT resize images, too.

Hehe, finally something which is less expensive in Germany. The full version of Bryce 5 retails for 99 Euros (less than $99).

I'm with LisaB. It's only the Corel banner, and it's full screen. the image I've posted is reduced from 1600 (my default screen res) The banners stretch right across the browser window, but all other banners work fine. I reckon someone stuffed up the code when they inserted it into the header.

The Bryce 5 banner also seems to be a Doubleclick Ad and it appears to treat the entire page as if it were the ad. (Ref the link for the other thread.)

the banner attached to this link http://ad.doubleclick.net/jump/N1951.renderosity.com/B1090796;sz=468x60;ord=[timestamp]? is appearing about 4 pixels tall. I saw this one at least twice in the past ten minutes.

As of 5 minutes ago, I got them, too. Half the page got wiped by Ad-Blocker...

You're asking why a Corel ad is bigger than normal? Hmm... could it be that they are paid sponsors of the site? Hmm... well, I just checked the top of the page and I guess they aren't. Oh, well, next theory. Anyway, be very careful with ad.doubleclick.net- they are a know ad server and will drop cookies all over your computer and "track" you. After all, that's what an "ad server" does. (see the next thread for more info)

Turn your monitor up to 1600x1200 like I have mine and all those banners will seem really small.:)

I've never gotten a huge banner, but then the resizing is usually via javascript and my browser isn't javascript capable. ( and never will be as far as I'm concerned )
