I'm at a loss as to where to put any pZ3 files, or how to use them in poser 4. All the read me texts always say.."put it anywhere I have room". Well I have room everywhere. Thing is I dont know how to use them or what they are, or why if poser doesnt really use them, why I would want them to begin with? From what I gather they are other peoples art?

I keep all my pz3's in a separate folder outside Poser (called "Poser Work Area"), where I also store my renders. When you want to use one, just go to File, Import Poser Document, then locate where you stored the file.

Think of the PZ3 as being the "source file" from which the picture is made, just as a .PDF file is the source from which you would print a text document. In short terms, one PZ3 = one scene = one arrangement of characters, props, and movements. If you use Poser for an organized purpose, such as a series of illustrations in a book or magazine, you'll need to form the habit of keeping PZ3 files. That way you can go back and revise a scene without rebuilding, or use one scene as the basis for a new but similar one.

heyas; or, more simply, a pz3 is what you get when you save a poser scene. it's what you open when you open a poser scene. so... open it! :) actually, you can also import: a poser document/prop and import a pz3 into your current scene, also.
