just the third one, on the the left and right walls are drastically different in terms of lightness, even where the light isn't hitting the wall directly on the left. I'd say, to help keep a contrast bettwen the "tunnel" , and the opening (being the cross street, which is incredibly bright), take out the middle man and make the left wall darker/more resemblant of its counterpart, the right wall.
Very nice composition. This was a tough scene to get the exposure dead on for as the difference between the shadows and highlights is bordering on the limits of recording. The thing that bugged me the most was the softness in the image. I adjusted the curves a bit to tone down the highlights, and then applied an unsharp mask with a 1 pixel radius and a 150% level.
Hope that helps, and tha you don't mind.
Photo Two just doesn't do anything for me. My real problem with this is that the scooter is facing out of the scene. This leads the eye directly off the image, and IMO is something that should be avoided.
Photo Three is sweet, but IMO needed cropping to bring the main lines into dominence. Again I adjusted the curves and added an unsharp mask.
BTW... These were both RGB images, so I converted them to grayscale to get rid of the green cast.
hi everyone, thanks for your advice and input... @slynky...i'll give your idea a shot...no promises...my p/shop skills are not that good. @randy...i think alphas rework solves those issues. @alpha...thanks for your input and advice...much appreciated. yep forgot that sharpness button before scanning!!. i'm working on my compositions...need to slow down and see whats in the viewfinder i think..lol @bill...thanks for the encouragement...i like these types of photos, although not all of them work out...i'm currently looking through gabriele basilicos' cityscapes book which is acting as my source of inspiration
