Hi, Vue 4 has been out for a while now. Anyone have an idea when Vue 5 might appear? I'm thinking of buying Vue 4 but don't want to get it if Vue 5 going to be out in a couple of months. cheers

You got about at least a year I figure. It's really not worth waiting, you'll get a upgrade deal anyway.

If they follow the vue 5 wishlist, it could take some time.

Vue 4.1 is complex enough to start with,if you can handle that ,youre ready for vue 5 ;-).No seriously i agree with Alekssander:the wishlist was released a few months ago,so if they want to realize it ,it would certainly take a few days :-)

I agree with MightyPete (one year at least). That means the wishlist (very huge) could not be completed ;=) Yves

Ask Guitta, she's the one "tidyng" around here ;)

I'll buck the trend and say 6-9 months. The reason why I say that is: 1. Competition is strong within the market, and to stay ahead you need to keep users interested. 2. Corel are close to releasing the "new improved" Bryce...look at the price cuts now available! 3. Anything longer than 2 years between major upgrades is very rare in the 3D industry. Cheers

Cheers, I thought 2 years was quite a while as well. Wasn't Vue 4 released round May 2001? If thats the case in a years time it will have been 2 and half years between versions, quite a while. Anyway Vue looks like a great program and i'm set on buying it.
