Playing around with this tree druid and decided to make a bonsai. I wish it was that easy in real life to make. Dave

Are you talking about tree druid or Carrara? It takes time and patience. I have RDS and True Space and Bryce and Poser. Believe me a 3d program like Cararra and true sapce and others take time. But all it is, is just playing with the programs and experimenting with them. Shit I`m still learning Dave

I was talking Carrara. I have been swamped for time, but want to learn to make something other than spheres and boxes and crap :-) I know I need to experiment lots... Just impatient. Oh, and Tree Druid is way cool! I got it a few days ago, too, and am liking it very much. Aeryk

The manual has some cool tutorials which are easy to follow but they take time. The easiest I think is to use the spline modeler. Say hand, spline modeler, front view, click on pen, make points for shape of hand, then click curve tool and drag the handles to make the finger tips and so on. The geometry sym in plane, add point at halve way point then curve tool again and you should have something that resembles a hand. I made the pot for the tree using the spline, making the outline for the outer part of the pot and then used the torus and then stretched it out to make it oval. Hope this makes sense what I am trying to say. Try it. Dave

Thanks Dave. I'll experiment this weekend if I don't have to work. :-) Aeryk71

Very nice, also very true about the real thing. Purchased TD and Thor last night and hope to work with it this weekend.

How about letting me know what you think of thor. You should get that glow program from digital carvers guild to make some really great lighting and arcs. You can download it for free to check it out, but the freebie only gives a blue glow Dave
