It is a cool program and easy to use but it does tap your system. I have a P111 733EB with 256mb on the ram and a 32mb Nvidia GeForce video. Carrara never performed this sluggish until you start popping in trees. The more trees the more of a drain on the system. Here are just 2 of the many trees that are found in tree druid. This is really the first time playing with it(and no I don`t mean with myself :-) . Dave

Looks very cool, and I am thinking about purchasing it myself. However do you get some kind of disk or is this available only thru download. The reason I ask is that just recently I must have re-installed Poser 4.0 at least a dozen times over the weekend trying to track down the problem with the BVH export in the 4.0.2 update. I have also had disks go bad that I have had vital files on. (no CD burner yet though)

No, this doesnt come on a disk or cd. You download it through their wesite. I think the size of the file was1.07mb so you can put it on a disk, they hold 1.44mb. This way of you crash your system youll have a copy. I copied my download to a cd, i have a cd-rw. dave

Can you do a tree in carrara and just export that object say to a program like truespace? Wondering if I should get the one for carrara or the standalone version? Marque

I tried it last night and was able to export as a 3DS file into Bryce. This was only an experiment and my first try, and tried without a texture applied.

I just exported it to 3ds and pulled it into poser 4.0 and added the dragonrider and a fairy...it's too cool, well worth the money! Now, if I can create one with textures, or figure out how to do a texture map...sigh...so much to learn! Marque
