Personally, myself, I prefer here rather then Daz, for several reasons. One of the Major reasons why I didn't sell threw Daz is that there brokers agreement is too open ended, It basically gives them the right to give your product out for free to anyone, unlike Renderosities. There were a couple other reasons, some personal, others not. However with the changes at Daz I don't know if they have made any changes to there policies. Looks like you have some nice products, I hope they do good, Have you made any Darkages based stuff? or is your work primarly Sci-fi artistry?
oopsie forgot to answer the question ;) Sales are good, Im merchant #46 out of 700 last I looked, total gross earned at renderosity, in under 2 years is just over 10k, 5k which came to me. Most of my products are low priced (5-10 dollars) for a short while I did have some marked at 20. my thoughts on it... If your products are good, And you charge a decent price for them, the sales will role in, If you make a good product and charge too much, it will detour people (one reason I haven't bought some things from Daz that I had wanted). Post Free Items occationally that will perk peoples intrest in the type of work that you do, to attract new customers to older products.
personally travis, i don't think everyone should follow my pricing scheme ;) its a hobby for me, it keeps my hobby going, thats the only reason i do charge, if I could keep the hobby going without that then i would, but its just not possible. But keep the cost reasonable - Remember the Poser community is primarily made up of Teens/early 20's people, you got some older farts like myself playing with it but the majority seems to be the later. one thing that people have noted with items like your #2 image, they like to be able to innermix things, and rather then it being a single solid suit, they'd be more apt to buy it if it was a multipul piece suit so they can innermix without alot of "hide this, hide that" involved. also for making suits like that into conformers, its best if you deal with the victoria model/poser models in there default possition, this will make it a ton easier for whoever you deside to help make them into conformers work with them inside of poser to do just that. A good book for refrence to indian stuff, if you can get your hands on it "The Mystic Warroriors of the Plans - by Thomas E. Mails" thats if your serious about making realistic indian props, clothing and gear. I've been seeing alot of Egyptian and Roman stuff lately, looks like something took a swing in that direction ;) how about egyptian Sci-fi as well? smile I've looked for that but couldn't find any (besides stargate look-a-likes) thats something i'd really be intrested in myself :)
Thanks for all the respons's i have alot to thihk over as far as making individaul pieces im sure id make two or three characters that could have conforming clothes but the majority of my characters would be a solid unit anyone doing animation with them and looking for nice morphing in poser will be thankful once they try thoug it does limeit the character but this way you never have any trouble with pop through or clothes falling off etc

With stuff like that, honestly, I think they'd be more successful at Daz. Daz reaches a wider audience. Sales at Daz are more successful speaking from personal experience. Itd take me so much longer here to make what I make over there in a certain time period... Honestly. Dont hate me, Clint *ducks* LOL Caleb - Whered you get that from ? Cause... *By submitting my work to DAZ Production am I transfering ownership of it as well? No, DAZ Production will recognize the Licensor (you) as the licensor/creator of the Licensed Products in a manner consistant with the way it recognizes all of its other licenses.* and *Will DAZ Production be able to create derivitive works from mine after I submit them? No, express written consent must be given by the Licensor (you) prior to any such development by DAZ Productions.* However thats just my experience and opinion, Travis.transfer ownership no, allow them the rights to give away your product for free if they so choose, yes. Where did i get this? from talking with the daz staff whom was trying to get me to set up with them while going over the broker agreement. There agreement is too open ended for me. If you were to take it to a Lawyer (unless they changed it recently) and have them go over it with you, the lawyer would probably point out the same loop holes that I myself didn't like.
