Mike in the uniform of the 101st Airborne during WW2, unfortunately wearing the wrong cap badge (i think) but the rest should be reasonably accurate :o).......Steve

The U.S. Army Didn't wear black boots until the early 1960's, before that time the boots were brown.

The boots were brown until late 1957 ... early 1958. I remember dying mine black.

Thanks :o)...Pam you made me blush :o)....sorry about the boot color, put it down to my color blindness, i've left them black in the download though coz they can be used with others too and theres no way i can pick brown out the color picker LOL...heres the same set in camo..Steve

The field jacket also does not* have a belt as a part of the uniform but it was rarely worn without a pistol or cartridge belt. Add a separate pistol belt, not found elsewhere, and it'll rock. *not sure about WW2, but certainly from Korea on.

Well i'm gonna argue with you there Huolong (but only in a friendly way:o) as every shot in band of brothers had the jacket with a belt on, now i know hollywood tend to do what they want as far as authenticity goes but from what i can gather this series was the exception to the rule ;o).couldn't find a photo without webbing (except this one http://www.101airborneww2.com/uniforms.html) so this stage of the outfit had to be made from the series..pistols was debatable as non coms weren't issued with them and had to buy them there selves so your right if they bought one ;o)...like i mentioned in the other thread one can never be 100% authentic on uniforms, the 101st changed 2 times between 42 and 45 (m42 to m43) yet some troopers still wore the m42 they'd hidden away, and then each set had its own variations (reinforced or not) not to mention the small individual changes guys made..Steve PS this is m42 btw

Check out this reproduction and original WWII militaria supplier: http://216.205.92.146/us_package.htm Both pics displaying the standard and reinforced jackets show belts.
