I'm working on a graphic novel I plan to make with Poser4PP. I'm still pretty much in a planning stage a.t.m. I've got the basic story, been working on that for over 6 years. I'm now in the process of doing character designs and making up a lot of the "background world". The world my story is set in is heavily inspired by D&D and Tolkien, so you can acpect to see Trolls, Orcs, Ogres, Elves, Dwarves etc. etc. Anycow, I'm now in the process of creating deities. And that is where I'd like to see some input, I'd like you to help me by describing what you think each deity would be like, wether it be a male or female and how they would look, this would help me make up my mind alot, if you have any names I'd take them into consideration too. I setled for a multi god format with 3 main gods and 9 lesser gods. Here is a list for you to work with; Main Gods; Diety of Time & Order. (this one going to be a male, already set) Deity of Death & the Underworld (most likly female) Deity of Chaos Lesser Gods; Deity of Justice & Judgement Diety of Sun & Fire Deity of the Seas, Water & Storms Deity of War Deity of Poetry, Celebration & Mischief Deity of Love, Sky, Wind & Beauty Deity of Hunting, Ice & protector of Nature Deity of Thunder & Vengeange Deity of Vigalance & Honour, Gaurdian of the Realm of Death (different from "the Underworld) Have fun

Those that are "dieties" will be slimmer than the rest ...

I have a couple of textures for Michael in my online store that could work nicely for dieties of fire or underworld. See "lavamen" or "Be". If that helps.

War - female: dark and beautiful, a temptress in leather with green eyes. Poetry, etc: Teanage boy, about 13. Wooly hair, a young pan. Justice: Asexual. I'd use Stephaie with a smooth Mike texture. Chaos: Don't use a single figure, change it with every scene, but use the same colors and tones, hair style, and clothing type to bring the variations together. Death: Pale and gentle. The releaser of pain. Always a half smile. Stone: Curio's Ragbash with a rock texture.

I saw the Lord of the Rings, and I'm still not sure of what kind of deity you are going for. What you have described sounds more like Greek and Roman mythology. Your choice of textures will very much depend upon the tone of your story and whether or not there is a definite presence of good gods vs. evil deities. I suggest you look at Paradise Lost for some inspiration. The text is very dry, but it does offer some visuals, particularly when describing the physical appearance of Satan and the other fallen angels, which you could implement into your images. You could read the whole thing if you like, but to save time the Cliff Notes way, you can look for a summation at www.sparknotes.com. Hope this helps, PapaBlueMarlin By the way, a lot of the abstractions you have mentioned are given physical form in Paradise Lost. Look for characters such as Fate and Despair...
