There was some discussion a while back about the "good old days" of fully manual cameras. This is the camera I learned on way back in Junior High School. 35mm Argus C3. 50mm f3.5. Maximum shutter speed of 300. As I remember, the lens was actually pretty sharp. [I *think* it still works.] The light meter was a separate hand-held reflected meter. Blue plastic. That did not survive. I know my parents had a difficult time scraping together money to buy a kid a camera like this, [and it was nowhere near new when I got it, I'm not THAT old!]. I sure have been grateful over the years that I was able to learn this hobby.

very cool looking... it would make some interesting shots just in itself, lol. my dad had this old camera from Germany that is now a collectors item. He finally stopped using it about 2 years ago after he found out how much the thing is,lol. I will have to ask him what the name of his camera is.

1953? I was in the hospital. Wanted to be near my mother. [Old line from Curley Joe of the Stooges.]
