Subject: Need Help! Problems With Poser Model Pathnames

danny7 ( ) posted Mon, 02 December 2002 at 10:40 PM ยท edited Mon, 02 September 2024 at 7:03 AM

Occasionally, I'll download free props, clothing, etc. and try to install them into Poser. Two frequent problems I have are (1) the pathnames Poser takes to get to the files don't match the pathnames in the accompanying ReadMe file, (2) the filenames of the textures are either truncated or different altogether. Half the time I can correct these problems, but I'm wondering if there is a way to fix things in a way that I can tailor the scheme of things so that these problems don't pop up unexpectedly.

I always put textures and geomitry files were i want them to be then go back and edit the cr2's with a text editor . I spent way to many hours waiting for poser to locate files or find missing / missnamed files while it ate up all of my resources and things slowly ground to a halt. There is a program i saw that will do this for you but i am a hands on kind of guy .

Look for Hogwardens CorrectReference in the freestuff, works excellently.
