Recently I took the family down to a friend's beach house for a week...these will not be your "typical" beach shots however...for those who know me that will come as no surprise! First image is of rust on a spring (from the same playground equipment my POV entry involves)

Under the bridge that joins the mainland to "Phillip Island" a popular place out from Melbourne for summer swimming, surfing, penguins and Grand Prix motor bike racing...amongst other things.

Some pipes under the bridge...did I mention **rust**?

Finally for now...there is a "Fish & Chip" shop on the waterside that has big aquarium windows with all sorts of colourful denizens of the deep...here is a snap of a "Horseshoe Leatherjacket" ~ at least I think that's what it's called...I thought it was pretty anyway. Some crude photoshopping in an attempt to remove reflections in the glass...Hope you enjoyed these. :-)>

Oh wow! These are really great....colors are awesome =) Do you have more summer-shots ? It's getting cold and misty over here, so I'm in need of things that remind me of a great warm summer ;) Thanks!

I sure enjoy the colors you find. While everyone else is sneaking shots of the sunbathers, there's PC watching the plumbing...

Cool stuff PC... Do you use have a lens hood on your lens?

PunkClown ( ) posted Wed, 04 December 2002 at 1:05 AM

Nope, no lens hood, (or place to put it) on the digi...that would help with the reflections is what your saying? :-)>

Pic # 2 reminds me of a '90s hit song by a band who was supposed to play here on December 8 but cancelled. *grrr*

Nice ones, Cam. :-)

With a lens hood on, you can place the hood tight to the glass and get zero reflections....

PunkClown ( ) posted Thu, 05 December 2002 at 7:11 AM

Ahhhh...I always knew I listened to you for a reason! ;-)>

i like number 3... the other thing that you can do, of course is use a linear polarizer to take care of the reflections, but if you cant put a lens hood on, i would be surprised if you could fit a filter.

Cool fish Cameron. Like the repetition in the bridge picture, think we might be seeing some more of that. Nice to see its not raining out your way I just cant wait for summer to come round again. :O)
