Subject: Poser 5 and Vue: any news?

Has anyone heard if progress is being made to resolve the issues between Vue and Poser 5? I've finally decided I am going purchase Poser and it doesn't make much sense to spend more for Poser 4 :) It would also be nice to take advantage of their reduced price through the end of December. Is anyone using Poser 5? If so, how do you like it and how do you work around the issues with Vue? I would assume you can still export .obj files that can be imported into Vue?? Can you create poses in Poser and export as .obj's? Any feedback concerning the product....it's limitations using Vue.....pros/cons....advise.....will be much appreciated :)

Are you aware of the MS style registration scheme that CL has resorted to. If not, you may want to read about it on the CL web site. If you are not opposed to their registration method you may still want to wait as P5 has had the heck patched out of it, you may want to wait until they release their next package. Mercate

Yes Mercate, I visited their site and am aware of their "MS style" registration :) I avoided getting Windows XP for sometime because of what I had heard about it. Ultimately I discovered that much of what I had heard was greatly exaggerated.....and you can't beat XP! While I am not a fan of these approaches, I guess I can understand software companies taking these steps. Your comments about the patches and waiting for a new release are good points. Ultimately I guess I have to decide if I want to go with the current release....pay less and take my chances or wait for an improved release and end up paying more :) Thanks for the feedback! :)
