The resolution setting doesn't have anything to do with renders, set the render resolution by setting your window size (choose "New Window" as opposed to "Main Window"). That resolution entry is there for some printers which require it... I don't know what the upper limit is... I make some pretty big renders. :)
I render most of Mine @ 1200x1200 in a new window, with the dpi set to 300(instead of the default 72), then postwork & resize & sometimes crop in Photoshop 6. Its way easier to touch up smaller areas in post when the image is clear & not pixelated. Then resizing it smaller, makes the image sharper & crisper. Hope that helps. Thomas

Is 72.000 the max resolution that P4 renders. Thanks
